“We tend to avoid bus tours and tourist crowds, but still want to take in the beauty of local sites. That's why were were so happy to come across Carlos's hike. We got to Hierve el Agua early before the tourists and had the place to ourselves to take photos and go for a swim. It was much more enjoyable than having to fight the crowds. We also beat the heat by starting our hike early. Carlos shared some cultural history and pointed out various plants and sites.
